The AOP – Association of Online Publishers – is the industry body representing digital publishing companies, and wanted to review its key event offerings.
Led by a small team, the AOP needed external assistance to deliver value to its members. The Business Narrative was approached to devise a series of monthly training courses for members, for which we conceived, created and curated content and also secured speakers. Topics ranged from video, mobile and widgetisation to web metrics and vertical search. Over a year, we secured over 40 industry expert speakers to share their insights with AOP members.
In addition, The Business Narrative consulted with the CEO to re-imagine the Awards and the major conference alongside them. We created the 3C – Content, Convergence and Creativity – Digital Publishing Summit. We delivered a research project analysing market competitors, and re-worked the sponsorship packages and positioning for both the Awards and Summit. Working with the team, we oversaw the branding, marketing collateral for the event, awards sponsorship packages, programme outline and speaker curation.
The success of the project lead to the creation of an internal team moving the events to the next level.
