The Business Narrative is led by Sasha Frieze. With over twenty-five years' events industry experience as a producer of more than 1,000 world class events and as a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, she is committed to sharing her practical expertise with the next generation of event professionals as a visiting lecturer in event management at The University of Westminster, London and judging industry awards.
Event experience ranges from global business conferences and congresses, client seminars, business development events and corporate training to cocktail receptions, gala dinners, professional and academic association congresses and awards ceremonies, covering intimate private dinners for ten, to events for over 2,500 delegates.
Prior to founding the Business Narrative, Sasha was already a well-established and respected media and events industry professional, whose track record included roles as a Director of an informa plc Conference Division and SVP Events for the market-leading Industry Standard magazine.
In her early career, Sasha was a global marketing consultant for IIR, and started out at the award-winning advertising agency Grey. Sasha has also gained significant professional services experience in the TMT practice at international executive search firm Spencer Stuart.
Her in-depth knowledge of vertical business sectors has led to her advising wealth management firms, professional services firms, digital agencies, technology and media businesses, as well as running her own companies.
An entrepreneur at heart and often at the forefront of media innovation, Sasha’s specific experience in the conference and events industry has led to consulting for a number of clients including the Guardian, News UK, the AOP, the PPA, Incisive Media, UBM and Thomson Reuters, where she has shaped and curated premium content events.
Sasha is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a graduate of the University of Manchester, a former Trustee of a north London visitor attraction, an active Council member of an educational charity, a regular judge at industry awards and a Visiting Lecturer in Event Management at Westminster University.
