The Business Narrative is led by award-winner Sasha Frieze, Event Producer of the Year 2020. As a veteran of the business events industry with over twenty-five years’ experience, Sasha works with technology and professional services, Think Tanks and non-profits to create meaningful, impactful events, and has worked with clients including The Guardian, News UK, Ada Lovelace Institute, The Open Data Institute, Tech Talent Charter, DotEveryone, Incisive Media, UBM and Thomson Reuters.
Sasha is committed to sharing her practical expertise with the next generation of event professionals through her involvement in the Event Management Apprenticeship Scheme, mentoring for FastForward 15, as a visiting lecturer in event management at The University of Westminster, London and judging industry awards.
Event experience ranges from global business conferences and congresses, client seminars, business development events and corporate training to cocktail receptions, gala dinners, professional and academic association congresses and awards ceremonies, covering intimate private dinners for ten, to events for over 2,500 delegates.
Prior to founding the Business Narrative, Sasha was already a well-established and respected media and events industry professional, whose track record included roles as a Director of an informa plc Conference Division and SVP Events for the market-leading Industry Standard magazine.
In her early career, Sasha was a global marketing consultant for IIR, and started out at the award-winning advertising agency Grey. Sasha has also gained significant professional services experience in the TMT practice at international executive search firm Spencer Stuart.
Her in-depth knowledge of vertical business sectors has led to her advising wealth management firms, professional services firms, digital agencies, technology and media businesses, as well as running her own companies.
A Fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sasha is also on the board of the event industry’s Event Management Apprenticeship Scheme, a mentor for FastForward15, a judge at event industry awards and a Visiting Lecturer in Event Management at Westminster University.
Sasha lives in London with her husband and son and is a keen baker.
