An evening programme at Tower Bridge to entertain senior level customers of a technology company in the wealth management sector during a two day international strategic conference in London.
After a busy day of meetings, we welcomed 100 guests onto two vintage Routemaster red buses, parked immediately outside their London hotel. Clients were delighted to see their host’s name on the front of each bus, and on board we served them champagne and nibbles while our blue badge guides shared some insights about the historic capital city as we drove them along the Embankment.
Arriving at the south side of Tower Bridge, our team directed the guests straight to the Engine Rooms, where they were served a first course of canapés, plus a range of cocktails, spirits and soft drinks, including cucu gingers, blackberry lemonade, ginger juleps and bottled beer. During the reception, guests learned the details of the steam operation of the historic bridge from an experienced guide. After a short welcome address from the CEO and some fabulous live jazz, we escorted the guests across the bridge on foot – timed to coincide with sunset – and paused for a few photo opportunities.
Situated 40 metres up from the river, the west walkway – with a great view towards The Shard – was set up with intimate 8-foot tables, and guests enjoyed more jazz as they took their seats – pausing to appreciate the glass-floored walkway and take some photos before they sat down. A choice of bordeaux or a Chilean sauvignon blanc was served, while the main course comprised a choice of fillet of beef or toasted basil gnocchi, followed by chocolate pavé with raspberries, sherbet meringue kisses and a mango sorbet. We rounded off the evening with tea, coffee and handmade petit fours.
We created the entire vision for the evening, sourced the traditional London buses, organised catering in three locations, recruited City-experienced BlueBadge guides, and selected a venue shortlist that met the client and guests requirements – ultimately opting for a unique heritage venue that delighted all the attendees. On the night, we tightly managed all the ‘moving parts’ of the three-location event logistics to ensure that it was a seamless guest experience. We worked closely with the venue and catering team to manage all the production, entertainment and catering.
The evening was a great success, securing and building on connections with C-level guests within City institutions.
If you organise a two day conference, you can really use some support for the evening event. Especially when you are not located in the country where the event is taking place. Sasha not only provided that, she managed to get us our number one choice of event location and organised a top notch event with an unforgettable experience for our guests. We felt perfectly taken care of at every stage of the organisation and at the event itself. We will definitely work with you again Sasha, and can recommend you wholeheartedly!
