The Institute for the Future of Work approached us to support them in content curation for their Future of Work stage at CogX, Europe’s preeminent festival of AI, blockchain and emerging technologies.
The Institute for the Future of Work is an independent charitable trust with a mission to shape a future in which work is made better through the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The organisation grew out of the Future of Work Commission.
CogX is Europe’s preeminent festival of AI, blockchain and emerging technologies, providing a platform for government, industry civil society and academia, taking place in Kings Cross for a week in June, with speakers including global leaders John Kerry, Dr Jane Goodall and Tony Blair. Responding to Covid-19 and within 2 months the event pivoted to virtual for 2020, with a timely theme of “how to get the next 10 years right?”, achieving 44,000 registrants (in person event usually 20,000), 17 topic stages and 1200+ speakers.
We worked closely with the Institute team, advising them on curation, speaker recruitment and management, and briefing speakers on the online platform, organising speaker tech checks, and ensuring calls to action from the event on the day.
The response to this well-curated timely debate about the future of work was phenomenal across media and social media.
